Fear & Greed Index.
The crypto market’s emotional backdrop right now — from extreme fear to extreme greed. Current value, zones and a two-week history.
The calculator does the math. It cannot see the market.
Liquidation price, position size, stop distance — that is arithmetic. Whether price actually reaches your stop, what funding is doing, which way open interest leans and where other traders’ liquidations are stacked — that is analysis. Moami’s team of AI analysts examines your position against live market data and returns scenario probabilities, not opinions.

How to read the index
The index folds several market factors — volatility, momentum and volume, Bitcoin dominance, search trends — into a single number from 0 to 100. It is not a price forecast but a gauge of crowd emotion.
Contrarian logic: extreme fear often coincides with local bottoms, extreme greed with overheated tops. But the index lags and knows nothing about your specific position — use it as context, not as an entry signal.
FAQ
What is the Fear & Greed Index?
It is a composite indicator of crypto market sentiment from 0 to 100. Low values (fear) mean participants are scared and selling; high values (greed) mean the market is overheated and buying on emotion. The index blends volatility, market momentum and volume, Bitcoin dominance and search trends.
How do I read the values?
0–24 is extreme fear, 25–44 fear, 45–55 neutral, 56–74 greed, 75–100 extreme greed. These are not entry signals on their own: the index shows the emotional backdrop, not the direction of price.
How do I use the index in trading?
The classic contrarian rule: “be greedy when others are fearful, fearful when others are greedy.” Extreme fear often coincides with local bottoms, extreme greed with overheated tops. But the index lags and knows nothing about your specific position — it is context for a decision, not the decision itself.
How often is the index updated?
The index is recalculated once a day. On this page the value and history update automatically and are cached for a few minutes.
How is this different from an AI position analysis?
The index is a single market-wide sentiment number. Moami’s AI analysis evaluates your specific trade: leverage, liquidation buffer, funding, open interest, liquidation clusters and the technical picture for the chosen coin. Your first analysis is free after signup.
